May 5, 2010 A NEW JERSEY GUY GETS A MAN CAVE TO MATCH HIS MONTANA SPIRIT KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – May 5, 2010 – A guy with a Montana spirit brings the Wild West into his New Jersey basement. Dave Aldredge, a self-proclaimed “numbers” guy, visits the west two or three times a year. Dave and his wife originally fell in love with the architecture and cedar and stone of the region during their first trip 10 years ago. DIY Network’s Man Caves hosts Tony “Goose” Siragusa and licensed contractor Jason Cameron transform his unfinished basement into a space straight from the great frontier. Catch the premiere of DIY Network’s Man Caves “Montana Man Cave” on Friday, June 11 at 9 p.m. ET. Borrow ideas from this episode of Man Caves to create your own space for kicking back with the boys with the Top 5 Things a Montana Man Cave Should Have:
1. Theatre Room: Like the Wild West this theatre room is vast with plenty of room for friends and family and includes a state-of-the-art flat screen and audio system.
2. Copper Bar: Most man caves include a bar, but the Montana cave features a first: a copper top to give the bar a rustic and western feel.
3. Stone and Steel Elements: To keep the western spirit, this cave features an authentic stone and steel wall.
4. Fire Place: A fire place creates a warm and inviting atmosphere in the basement for this man cave.
5. Barn Door: Separating the man cave from the rest of the basement, a barn door on a slide track system adds another natural element to the space.
DIY Network’s Man Caves is all about giving guys an exclusive space to hang out in their homes. In each episode, Cameron and Siragusa create a man cave solely for one lucky guy, while offering ideas and expert do-it-yourself instruction to help homeowners everywhere construct their own personal hangouts. New episodes of the fourth season of Man Caves air every Friday on DIY Network at 9 p.m. ET.
