“George Strait - ACM Artist of the Decade” Cable Premiere on GAC
All-Star Concert Features Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban & Many More
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 24, 2010) – The superstars of country music pay tribute to the king of country, George Strait, on George Strait - ACM Artist of the Decade, making its cable premiere Sunday, June 27, 9:00 p.m./Eastern on Great American Country (GAC). The all-star concert features a special appearance by Garth Brooks and performances by Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Jamie Foxx, Faith Hill, Jack Ingram, Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Montgomery Gentry, John Rich, LeAnn Rimes, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Lee Ann Womack.
Strait was named the ACM Artist of the Decade for the 2000s, joining only four other artists who have received this distinction: Marty Robbins for the 1960s, Loretta Lynn for the 1970s, Alabama for the 1980s and Garth Brooks for the 1990s.
Taped at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the special was produced by dick clark productions.
